Join the KidCare Photo ID event on August 5th!

Now in its 24th year, Shoney’s KidCare Photo ID event will take place from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 5, at Foothills Mall, 197 Foothills Mall Drive, Maryville. The free event is being held in partnership with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Over the past 23 years, the program has provided more than 400,000 children with IDs. In addition to the session at Foothills Mall, there will also be one from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 4, at West Town Mall, 7600 Kingston Pike, Knoxville.

Parents will receive free KidCare Photo IDs kit, which enables them to have information readily available for authorities in the event their child is ever reported missing. The IDs include a color photograph, fingerprints, important information including height, weight and date of birth, a medical profile and 24-hour NCMEC hotline number.
